Furkan Şeker was born on 17 March 1992 in Göksun, Kahramanmaraş. He is a Turkish football player currently playing as a central defender for Beşiktaş.
Furkan Şeker was born in Kahramanmaraş. His family moved to Istanbul when he was 2 years old. He began his career in 2004 with Beşiktaş academy. He was promoted to Beşiktaş A2 in the second half of 2007-08 season by legandary Beşiktaş footballer, Fikret Demirer. From 2008-09 onwards he was the main defender of Beşiktaş A2.
He was promoted to first team by Mustafa Denizli in the 2009-10 season. He first signed a professional contract with Beşiktaş on 17 August 2010 for 5 years. He was selected by Bernd Schuster first 18 against Rapid Wien on 15 December 2010, but did not play.
Furkan Şeker first played for Besiktas on 22 December 2010 against Konya Sekerspor at the Turkish Cup game.
National team career:
Furkan Şeker first represented Turkey U-16 on 13 November 2007 against Austria. His first game for Turkey U-17 was against Slovenia on 25 September 2008 at the European Championship Qualifying group games (2). His first goal for Turkey U-17 was on 12 May 2009 against England (3). He featured in Turkey U-17’s all games during the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria. He first played in Turkey U-18 on 20 October 2010 against Wales (4).
